Boeing 757-200
2004-2006

VARIG, once again pioneer, became Boeing 757 first operator in Brazil, in September 2004. Boeing 757 proved to be excellent for international routes in South America and was a hit among passengers, as Brazil’s most comfortable aircraft in operation at that time. The first two units (PP-VTQ and PP-VTR) received in September 2004, the third (PP-VTS) arrived in November and the fourth (PP-VTT) in December, all previously operated in Iberia.

The first route was on October 2004 to Caracas, Aruba, Buenos Aires and Lima. Boeing 757-200 also operated to Asuncion and domestic routes. The four units remained in VARIG's fleet until the end of its operations in June 2006. The PP-VTQ, PP-VTR and PP-VTS were returned in December 2006 and the PP-VTT in February 2007. All units were transfered to Kras Air.
